Camp St. Nicholas 2026
Welcome to Camp!
Camp St. Nicholas is Transfiguration’s annual youth camp - one special week of fellowship and fun each summer. Through prayer, music, skits, crafts, games, and play, children grow in their faith and friendships.
2026 Camp Theme: Holy Week
Please mark your calendars for June 1-4, 2026! We welcome campers aged 4 through rising 5th graders for this fun week.
On Friday, June 5, families are invited to join us for a special trip to St. Paraskevi monastery in Brenham. There, we’ll enjoy lunch, tour the beautiful grounds, and have the opportunity to visit with and learn from the nuns who live there.
While in Brenham, families are welcome to make a fun side trip to Blue Bell Creameries to see how ice cream is made and enjoy a sweet Texas favorite—the perfect ending to a meaningful week. This will not be part of our group itinerary, but families are welcome to visit on their own before or after the monastery tour.
A Day In The Life at Camp
Call for Volunteers
Are you a GOYAn entering 6th grade or higher? Come serve at Camp!
As a volunteer counselor, you’ll:
Lead small groups
Help run games and activities
Assist with crafts, skits, and science experiments
Mentor younger campers
Grow in leadership and confidence
This is a wonderful opportunity to serve your church community, strengthen your faith, and earn service hours while making lasting memories.
We truly can’t do this week without our GOYAns — we hope you’ll step up and be part of it!
We are also seeking enthusiastic adult volunteers to help make Camp St. Nicholas a success!
We need adults to:
Oversee and mentor our GOYAn counselors
Lead activity stations (crafts, outdoor games, snack area, science experiments)
Help guide groups and ensure a safe, organized environment
Whether you can serve the entire week or just part of it, your presence and support make a meaningful difference. Camp is one of the most impactful weeks of the summer for our children — and it simply wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our volunteers.
If you’re willing to share your time and talents, we would be so grateful.
